Description of key information
As stated in the requirements of the regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 the biodegradability of butyl ethyl ether was tested according to the OECD test guideline 301 F ”Ready Biodegradability: Manometric Respirometry Test”, and in compliance with the OECD-GLP standards (Flach 2017).
The mean degradation rate of butyl ethyl ether was 72.2 % after 28 days. Therefore, butyl ethyl ether is considered to be readily biodegradable based on ThOD.
