Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
clothes.
Emergency measure - Eyes: rinse with water, contact a ophthalmologist
Emergency measure - Skin: wash with water, soap and contact a physician
change clothes
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drinking, contact a physician or a poison information centre
Fire-fighting measures
Product arising from burning: carbon oxides, water, nitrogen oxides, prussic acid
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Protective clothing, self-contained respirator or full-face
mask with filter ABEK-P2.
Accidental release measures
into drains, soil or aquatic environments. Take up the
spillage with an absorbent material. The taken up spillage
has to be filled in a labelled container and then tranported
to a incinerator plant.
Handling and storage
Handling: Precautions have to be followed during the filling, cleaning and maintenance of the plant. The individual steps of work have to be conducted carefully to avoid a spilling or an escape of the substance. The spread of vapour has to be avoided by an extraction device. Suitable work clothings, rubber gloves, goggles and a full-face mask with the filter ABEK-P2 are prescribed during the work with the substance. Precautions have to be made that the substance or the water of firefighting cannot reach the soil or the stretch of water. Storage: Keep the container tightly closed and dry at room temperature. Opened containers have to be tighly closed again after use. Product residues have to be avoided on the container. Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 200 l steel barrels with PE inlet for lager quantities use rail tank wagon

Exposure controls / personal protection
Respiratory protection: No personal respiratory protective equipment normally required.
Hand protection: Wear CE Marked (or equivalent) nitrile rubber gloves (minimum thickness 0,40 mm). Wash when contaminated. Dispose of when contaminated inside, when perforated or when contamination outside cannot be removed. Wash hands always before eating, drinking, smoking or using the toilet.
Eye protection: Wear goggles conforming to EN166 (Field of Use 5 or equivalent).
Skin and body protection: Wear standard coverall and type 6 suit. Wear two layers of clothing wherever possible. Polyester/cotton or cotton overalls should be worn under chemical protection suit and should be professionally laundered frequently. If chemical protection suit is splashed, sprayed or significantly contaminated, decontaminate as far as possible, then carefully remove and dispose of as advised by manufacturer.
Hygiene measures
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
Keep working clothes separately.
Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product.
Remove soiled clothing immediately and clean thoroughly before using again.
Garments that cannot be cleaned must be destroyed (burnt).
Stability and reactivity
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incinerator with flue gas scrubbing (661)
