Any other information on results incl. tables

Lithium Trifluoromethanesulfonate is a medium to fine powder with lumps and clusters. Under the microscope, particles appeared to be irregular shaped crystals (with a magnification of 100). The sample was observed to be made up of single crystalline particles and agglomerated particles (with a magnification of 400).

A solubility test showed, that the test item is both: sparingly soluble and well dispersible kerosene.

The particle size distribution was found to range from approximately 0.56 µm to 320 µm.

The results obtained during the measurements showed no relevant difference (standard deviation was found to be below 10%). Therefore the study is considered to be valid and no further testing is necessary.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The mass median aerodynamic diameter of Lithium Trifluoromethanesulfonate was determined to be 116.312 µm.
The particle size distribution was found to range from approximately 0.56 to 320 µm.
Executive summary:

Using the laser diffraction method (in accordance with ISO 13320:2009 and CIPAC MT 187, under GLP compliance) to study the particle size of Lithium Trifluoromethanesulfonate ranging between 0.02 µm and 2000 µm, the mass median aerodynamic diameter (MMAD) was determined to be 116.312 µm. The particle size distribution was found to range from approximately 0.56 µm to 320 µm.
