Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Skin contact: Immediately wash skin with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes while removing
contaminated clothing and shoes. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Eye contact: Immediately wash skin with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Assure adequate flushing of the eyes by separating the eyelids with fingers. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. In case of irregular breathing or respiratory arrest provide artificial respiration. In severe cases or if symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
In the event of a fire involving this material, alone or in combination with other materials, use water spray, dry powder or carbon dioxide extinguishers. Protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Wear suitable personal protective equipment.
Respiratory precaution:Use approved respiratory protection (EN 149) if exposure limits are excellent or if irritation or other symptoms are experimented
Hand precaution: Wear suitable gloves/gauntlets
Skin protection: Wear suitable protective clothing
Eye protection: Wear suitable eye protection (EN166)
Handling and storage
Handling: This product should be handled only by, or under the close supervision of, those properly qualified in the handling and use of potentially hazardous chemicals, who should take into account the fire,
health and chemical hazard data given on this sheet.
Wash thoroughly after handling.Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Provide adeguate ventilation.
Storage: Store in closed vessels. Keep in a cool and a dry place.
Handle the substance under strictly controlled conditions according to Article 18(4) of REACH Regulation. Rigorous containment should be achieved.
Exposure controls/personal protection:
The substance is used under strictly controlled conditions during its whole lifecycle as described under Article 18 (4) and Section 2.1 of the Guidance for Intermediates. The substance should be rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle and procedural and control technologies should be in place in order to minimize emissions and any resulting exposure as described under Article 18(4). Personal protective equipment (PPE) should be used in cases of accidents and where waste is generated. The PPE may be also used as a good practice.
