Description of key information

Disperse Red 092 was characterized as a dark red powder with neutral smell. The melting point was determined to be 147 °C while the thermic decomposition started at about 290 °C. No boiling point for test substance was determined as it started to undergo thermic decomposition at about 290 °C. The average density of Disperse Red 092 was determined to be 1.5154 g/cm³. Median particle size (L50D) of test substance was determined to be 6.705 μm. The vapor pressure of test substance has been calculated to be 3.0 x 10E-13 Pa at 25 °C. The n-octanol / water partition coefficient (log Pow) at 20 °C was determined to be 1.88. The water solubility of test substance at a temperature of 20 °C was determined to be 8.1 mg/L. The surface tension of test substance was determined to be 71.923 mN/m at the room temperature ca. 20 °C. Disperse Red 092 is a powder/ solid at room temperature and the melting point of the substance was determined to be 147 °C. Hence the study for flash point is not required. Test substance has no auto-ignition temperature until 550 °C. In a self-ignition test, no ignition was observed throughout the course of the test, therefore, it should be considered as "not highly flammable". Test substance is considered to be non-explosive.
