Additional information

Acute aquatic toxicity data on all three trophic levels are available for the read-across substance. The studies showed no toxic effects within the range of solubility (the read-across justification is attached in chapter 13).

Additionally, preliminary data on the toxicity to fish and also data on the toxicity to Daphnia magna are available for the test substance itself showing no effects within the range of solubility. Therefore, the test substance is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic organisms.

Additionally, the Activated Sludge Respiration Inhibition Test for the read-across substance gave a NOEC > 100 mg/L after 3 h of incubation showing no effects on the toxicity to microorganisms. Therefore, the inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when introduced to biological treatment plants in appropriate low concentrations.
