Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The behaviour of the test substance is aqueous solutions is dominated by the strongly acidic -SO3H-groups. Therefore, the molecule is negatively charged and is present in anionic form over the whole environmentally relevant pH range.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The dissociation constant in water of the test substance was calculated using the Hammett and Taft Correlation methods and six pKa were estimated (RCC 2005). The important pKa are from the strongly acidic -SO3H- groups. The test substance has dissociating properties because the molecule will be negatively charged over the whole environmentally relevant pH region.
