Description of key information

Skin and eye irritation conclusion for chemical safety assessment are based on read across substances studies (RA2 and RA1). Respiratory irritation conclusion for chemical safety assessment is derived of the los vapour pressure of Triethanol amineacetate (0.116 Pa at 20 ºC) and on the form of manufactured substance (aqueous solution)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Based on the results presented on the read-across substances in the skin irritation/corrosion and eye irritation studies, Triethanol amineacetate is not considered to be an irritant either to skin or to eyes.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Skin irritation and eye irritation results for studies on reading across substances (RA2 and RA1) were found to be not irritating. It can be concluded that Triethanol amineacetate is also not irritating to skin or eyes, owing to the sameness that has been established with these read across substances. Therefore it is not classified as an irritant or corrosive.
