Additional information

Data about the effects on terrestrial organisms are not available. However, no relevant exposure of the terrestrial compartment is to expect as the substance has a very low potential to adsorb to soil and is not persistent (but dissociates). In addition to that the available information indicate that the substance is non-toxic and of low environmental concern with respect to aquatic toxicity or toxicity to mammals. According to the available data, an input via sludge application on agricultural soil is considered to be negligible, as lithium bromide does not adsorb to the sewage sludge to a significant extent. Pursuant to its physico-chemical properties lithium bromide is not expected to be distributed into soil. It can be concluded, that the risk for the terrestrial compartment is low and no further information and/or testing is needed.
