Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

No information is available on the repeated dose toxicity for the reaction mass containing mainly the 2-chloropropene. However, as the 3-chloropropene which is one of the substance constituting the mixture is officially classified as STOT RE 1/H372 according to CLP legislation, it was taken into account to propose the classification.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Depending on the batch, the proportion of some of the impurities as 3-chloropropene may vary. Some of the samples contains up to 1% in 3-chloropropene while other contains up to 5% of the same substance. When the percentage of 3-chloropropene reach 5%, we should classified the reaction mass containing mainly 2-chloropropene as

-R48/20/22 according to the mixture's criterias of DSD legislation

-STOT RE 2/H373 (causes damages to organs) according to the mixtures's criterias of CLP legislation.

When the percentage of 3-chloropropene reach maximum 1%, we should not classified the reaction mass containing mainly 2-chloropropene for this endpoint according to the mixtures's criterias of CLP-DSD legislation.
