Conclusion on classification

For Magnesium acrylate aqueous solution (48%): no classification according to regulation (EC) 1272/2008.

EC 50 (fish (96 h) and daphnia (48 h)): > 100 mg/l

ErC50/ ErC10 algae (72 h) = 4.94/ 1.1 mg/l and are thus in the range of 1 - 10 mg/l, but magnesium acrylate is readily biodegradable and has no bioaccumulation potential (log Kow -1.89). Therefore, magnesium acrylate does not need to be classified as hazardous to the aquatic environment according to the criteria of CLP-regulation (EC) 1272/2008.
