Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with plenty of water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Symptomatic treatment.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder and water.
Product arising from burning: Combustion products may contain carbon and nitrogen oxides
together with hydrogen chloride gas and soot.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Damp down spilt material with water, sweep up and transfer
to waste containers. For solutions, absorb with inert
material (eg sand or soil), sweep up and transfer to waste
containers. Dispose of waste at an authorised landfill site
or incineration facility.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used under
conditions of good industrial hygiene to minimise exposure.
Storage: Store in a tightly closed container in a cool, dark, well
ventilated space.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Not given, 6th amendment notification.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not economically or technically
feasible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal of waste material at a controlled landfill site is
possible. (A650)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be incinerated at an approved facility
with waste gas treatment to remove nitrogen oxides and
hydrogen chloride gas. (A661)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance should not be discharged to sewage systems or
the aqueous environment. However, accidental discharges are
not expected to have any untoward effects as it has been
shown that the substance does not inhibit the respiration of
activated sewage sludge.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from dyed fibre is not possible.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous properties of
preparations.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Polyester fibres dyed with the substance and preparations of
the substance may be disposed of as for domestic waste.
