EC number: 309-870-9 | CAS number: 101316-66-9 A complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained during the sorptions of toluene from a hydrocarbon fraction from cracked gasoline treated with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst. It consists predominantly of hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C6 through C8 and boiling in the range of approximately 80°C to 135°C (176°F to 275°F).

Review of the collated information indicates that streams are colourless to yellow liquids at 20ºC and 1013 hPa.. They are odourless or have a characteristic aromatic odour.

Company data,confirming the physical state, form, colour, odour and substance type,were available from Polimeri europa(2009) for the stream 64741-98-6 (yellow liquid with an odour characteristic of organic compounds) from INEOS (2009a, 2009b) for the streams 101316-66-9 (colourless to light yellow liquid with a characteristic odour) and 68476-55-1 (colourless and odourless organic liquid) and from RÜTGERS Germany GmbH, Analytisches Zentrallabor (AZL) (2010) for the stream 64742-94-5 (liquid with a Gardner colour of 4 and an odour characteristic of aromatic compounds). This data is considered reliable and suitable for use.
