In the test according to Grewer et. al. no self heating of the substance was detected up to 400°C. This was ascribed to melting of the substance at 180°C. Because of this an additional experiment with a mixture of the test substance and an inert carrier material (1:1) was conducted. In this experiment a weak self heating was observed, starting from 260°C, which resulted above 400°C in an open fire. This evidence shows that the substance is inflamable at temperatures above its melting point. In an additional experiment (DTA in an open cup under 20 bar of air) could be shown that an oxidation reaction below the melting point can be excluded.

Conclusions:
The datas show that at very high temperatures a autoflamability must be considered, but the results are not sufficient for a classification according to criteria of CLP- or Transport-Regulation.
