Additional information

Currently, there is no information available to cover this endpoint.

The notified substance is a liquid with a molecular weight of 135.21 g/mol. It is water soluble (17.4 g/l) and has a log Pow of 1.94. In a 28-days study no treatment related changes of the parameters measured were detected (NOEL: 15 mg/kg/day). The bacterial study on genotoxicity (Ames-Test) was negative. The non-bacterial test (in vitro cytogenetics) was positive in the test without metabolic activation, i. e. the substance is considered to be clastogenic to human lymphocytes in vitro. There was also some evidence that the test material could induce polyploidy, which is considered to be a marker for aneugenicity. Taking into account the low log Pow as well as the results of the 28-days study in rats, accumulation of the notified substance is considered to be unlikely.
