Phototransformation in air

This is not a standard information requirement in Annex IX of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.

 

Hydrolysis

According to Annex VIII (Paragraph 9.2.2, Column 2) of the REACh regulation 1907/2006 a test on hydrolysis does not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable or highly insoluble in water. In addition alcohols are generally resistant to aqueous environmental hydrolysis. Therefore, 2-methylbutan-1-ol is not expected to hydrolyze in the environment.
