Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not sensitising
Remarks:
Migrated information Criteria used for interpretation of results: EU
Conclusions:
The test item Methyldehydrolinalool Technical was not a skin sensitiser in this assay.
Executive summary:

In this study the test item Methyldehydrolinalool Technical dissolved in acetone:olive oil (4+1, v/v) was assessed for its possible contact allergenic potential. For this purpose a local lymph node assay was performed using test item concentrations of 25, 50, and 100% (w/v). The animals did not show any clinical signs during the course of the study and no cases of mortality were observed. In this study Stimulation Indices (S.I.) of 1.65, 1.99, and 2.44 were determined with the test item at concentrations of 25 and 50% (w/v) in acetone:olive oil (4+1, v/v), respectively, as well as 100% (undiluted as supplied by the sponsor). The test item Methyldehydrolinalool Technical was not a skin sensitiser in this assay.
