Justification for type of information:
Only the edetic acid moiety of the test item can ignite. Thus it is justified to evaluate the flammability of K3EDTA by a read-across approach to Na2EDTA. The exchange of sodium by potassium cations will not effect the flammability. The exchange of one proton by a potassium cation might lower the flammibility. Thus by this approach the auto flammability will not be underestimated.
