HPLC method at neutral pH:
In the chromatogram of the test substance solution, one peak with a retention time of 1.66 minutes was observed. Under the same analytical conditions, the retention time of acetanilide (log Koc=1.26) was 2.20 minutes. Hence, it was concluded that the log Koc of test substance was <1.26 (Koc<18).
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The HPLC method at pH 2 and neutral pH and using soil-adsorption-reference data was applied fot the determination of the adsorption coefficient (Koc) of Tolfamato.
The Koc and log Koc value of the test substance and impurities at neutral ph and pH 2 was:
-At neutral pH: Koc <18; log Koc <1.26
-At pH 2: Koc=24; log Koc= 1.38
