Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Solid material that becomes contaminated may be

recrystallised from water after filtration.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Treatment with alkali will precipitate the metal and

neutralise acidity.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Solid waste may be disposed of at a controlled landfill

site.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not given. [UK c.a.: Incineration is possible at an

approved facility with waste gas treatment to remove

sulphur and copper oxides.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended, the substance may be removed by

precipitation.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
