First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Seek immediate medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with running water and seek immediate

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash the affected area with

soap and water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting, give nothing by mouth. Seek medical

attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Products of combustion will include hydrogen chloride,

oxides of nitrogen and carbon and soot. Suitable

extinguishing agents are carbon dioxide, dry chemical

powder, foam, sand or earth. Avoid creating dust clouds and

wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Handling and storage

Handling: Avoid exposure. Wear impermeable overalls with boots,

gloves and suitable eye protection (safety glasses,

chemical goggles or face shield as appropriate). Use a

chemical cartridge with particulate filter or air supplied

respirator. Ensure eye washing facilities are available.

Storage: Store in a cool dry place away from heat and open flames.

Keep containers closed when not in use. Use only in well

ventilated area.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance may be destroyed by incineration above 1200

deg C. Waste gas scrubbing to remove hydrogen chloride gas

and nitrogen oxides should be used.
