First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove exposed person to fresh air. Get medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Hold eyelids apart and flush with running water for at least

15 minutes. Get medical attention if signs of irritation

develop.

Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing.Wash with water for at least 15

minutes. If irritation persists seek medical attention

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash with water and drink much water. Seek medical attention

immediately.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, CO2, or dry powder.

A dedicated empty tank of 1000 mc capacity is available at

site for extinguishing agents.

Protective equipment: Fire fighters should wear self-contained breathing

apparatus, flame resistant clothing , boots and gloves.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Limit access to spill area. Wearing suitable protective

clothing and equipment, collect material to minimize dust

generation; use wet mop, damp sponge or wet/dry HEPA vacuum

.Place collected material into a suitable container for

disposal. Ventilation has to be available. After material

has been removed from spill area, clean area.

Handling and storage

Handling: Engineering controls in the form of local exhaust

ventilation are provided . When engineering controls are not

sufficient to control dust exposure approved respiratory

protection in conformance with EN136 standard should be

worn. For manufacturing areas , skin protection should be

provided in the form of full suits (conforming to standard

EN374) along with impermeable gloves. Rubber, neoprene or

other gloves may be required if solvents, corrosives or

other chemicals are present. Chemical safety glasses should

be worn if a full face respirator is not being worn. All

safety and handling information is provided to the employees

through standard operating procedures, batch records and

training.

Storage: Stored in double polyethylene bags, inside a plastic drum.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The subsatnce is packaged in UN approved plastic drums.
