Description of key information

The test material has been shown to have a surface tension of between 72.0 mN/m and 72.5 mN/m. The test material has been determined not to be surface active.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The surface tension of the test item was determined using a ring method, designed to be compatible with Method 115 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995. The results are shown in the following table:

 Concentration g/L  Surface tension (mN/m)  Temperature (°C)
 0.990 72.5  21.6
 1.04 72.0  21.9

The test item was not considered to be surface-active
