Details on results:
The solubility of Beta Ketosulfide in double distilled water at 20.1C was considered to have reached a state of equilibrium by the 96 hour sample. The mean solubility value, calculated from eight ana lyses at this sampling occasion, was 1.497 ug/mL. with a standard deviation of 0.0413 ug/mK (CV = 2.76%). The pH values for the two samples after equilibrating for 96 hours were 6.47 and 5.63 and the mean of these was calculated as pH 6.05.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The solubility of Beta Ketosulfide at 20.1°C in double distilled water was detemined by a modified shake flask method to be 1.497 µg/mL (S[\n- 1) 0.0413, CV -2.76%) with a resultant mean pH of nominally 6.05.
Executive summary:

Because of technical problems with the adherence of the test substance to the inert support material prevented this technique from being used to determine the solubility in distilled water. This procedure was based on that outlined in OECD Guideline105, and meets the requirements of EC Directive 92/69/ EEC Method A6.

The solubility of Beta Ketosulfide at 20.1C in double distilled water was determined by a modified shake flask method to be 1.497ug/ml (SD(n-1) 0.0413,CB=2.76%) with a resultant mean pH of nominally 6.05.
