Choline chloride is a quaternary amine salt, it dissociates in water into the corresponding positively charged quaternary hydroxyl alkylammonium ion and the negatively charged chloride ion.

- Conclusions:
- Based on these data choline chloride is considered unlikely to be harmful to aquatic organisms including algae. Therefore as a read across to this material it is assessed that ColaMoist 200 is also unlikely to be harmful to algae.
