Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately
After inhalation: Immediately seek fresh air after inhaling of dust, vapour or aerosol. Take medical treatment.
After contact with skin: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water. Consult a doctor if skin irritation persists.
After contact with eyes: Rinse eyes thoroughly with running water (approximately 15 minutes) and consult a physician if any symptoms persist.
After ingestion:
Rinse out mouth and give plenty of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. Call in a physician immediately and show him the Safety Data Sheet.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: No symptoms known currently.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media; water spray jet , foam, dry powder , carbon dioxide
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: carbon oxides , nitrogen oxides
Special protective equipment for firefighting: Use self-contained breathing apparatus
Further information: Cool container and metallic parts with a water spray jet
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Wear personal protective equipment. Unprotected persons must be kept away.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow entry to drains, water courses or soil
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Take up mechanically ; Avoid raising dust ; Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with the regulations.
Handling and storage
Advice on safe handling :
Keep containers tightly closed ; Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary). Preferably handle in closed system. Ventilation, local exhaust required.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
Take precautions against accumulation of electrostatic charge. Keep away from sources of ignition.
Dust explosion class : ST1 Capable of dust explosion
Requirements for storage areas and containers:
Keep only in the original container . Storage rooms must be properly ventilated. Protect from direct sunlight
Advice on storage compatibility:
Keep in a cool place away from acids and alkalies. Do not store together with oxidizing agents. Do not store or transport together with foodstuffs
Further information on storage conditions:
Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place, open and handle carefully. Keep away from sources of ignition.

Exposure controls / personal protection
This substance is exclusively used as an intermediate to be consumed in a chemical reaction for the synthesis of other chemical compounds.
During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained in accordance Art. 18.
Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment technical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize release and exposure of this substance. National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted
Exposure limit values are not available.
DNEL/DMEL values are not available.
PNEC values are not available.
General protective measures: Do not inhale dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin
Hygiene measures: Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately.
Respiratory protection : In case of dust formation, use a fine dust face mask.
Hand protection :
Chemical resistant gloves; Observe the information of the glove manufacturers on permeability and breakthrough times and other workplace requirements
Eye protection : safety glasses
Body protection : working clothes
Stability and reactivity
Under normal conditions the product is stable
Disposal considerations
Product : Dispose of in accordance with local authority regulations
Uncleaned packaging
Contaminated packages or drums must be treated as waste, and must be disposed of or treated for reuse/recycling in an installation approved by Environmental Authorities according to local regulations. The wastes generated from such treatment of the packages must be processed in order to avoid environmental contamination.
