Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
N-Methyl acetamide, CAS No. 79-16-3 has a half-life of 38000 years (pH7, 25 deg C, Reference: Mabey, W. and Mill, T.  1978.  Critical Review of Hydrolysis of Organic Compounds in Water Under Environmental Conditions.   J. Phys. Chem. Ref. Data  1978, 7(2): 383-415). The registration substance contains a N-hydroxyeethyl amide moiety and it can be concluded that hydrolysis under environmental conditions (pH 4 to 9, 12 deg C) is comparable to N-Methyl acetamide mentioned before. Because of this extremely long half-life a hydrolysis study is not warranted.
