Any other information on results incl. tables

The fastest burning reference mixture was cellulose/test substance 70/30 with a burning rate of 1.64 mm/s. The reference mixtures 40/60, 50/50 and 60/40 had a burning rate of 1.49, 1.55 and 1.57 mm/s, respectively.

Because combustion of the tested cellulose/test substance piles was observed at the surface of the tested piles and combustion of the reference mixtures was observed through the whole pile, no comparison beetwen the burning rate of cellulose/oxidizer and the burning rates of cellulose/test substance can be made. The burning behavior as observed for the cellulose/test substance mixtures is characteristic for not-oxidizing test substances.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
other: no oxidising properties
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
UC-136 was determined to have no oxidising properties in the sense that it cannot sustain the combustion of cellulose, through a mechanism characteristic for substances having oxidizing properties. The burning behavior of the cellulose/reference mixture differs significantly from the burning behavior of the cellulose/test substance mixtures.
