Results on the aquatic toxicity are available as acute tests on three trophic levels. Algae turned out to be the most sensitive organisms with an EC50 of 14.5 mg/L based on the growth rate. An OECD 209 test demonstrated no adverse effects of the test substance on the respiration rate of domestic activated sludge.

Therefore, the test substance is considered to be harmful to aquatic organisms and activated sludge is not inhibited by the test substance if it enters a sewage treatment plant at appropriate concentrations.
