Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key result
Auto-ignition temperature:
235 °C
Atm. press.:
1 014 - 1 022.5 hPa
Remarks on result:
other: The value was obtained with a sample volume of 1 ml in a 200 ml glass vessel and was rounded off to the nearest multiple of 5°C.

The estimated auto-ignition temperature in the preliminary study was 250°C.

The results of the main study on the determination of the auto-ignition temperature of the test

substance are given in Table 1.

It was observed that the auto-ignition temperature of the test substance decreased with

increasing the sample volume. At a volume of 1 ml in a 200 ml glass vessel an auto-ignition

temperature of 238°C was observed. The volume was considered to be the maximum

representative volume of the test and the therefore the temperature obtained at this volume was

rounded off to the nearest multiple of 5°C giving the auto-ignition temperature of the test

substance (i.e. 235°C). No further testing was performed.

Conclusions:
A self-ignition temperature of 235°C at 1014.0 – 1022.5 hPa was determined in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol, and in compliance with GLP.

Description of key information

Auto flammability: 235°C at 1014.0 – 1022.5 hPa (EU Method A.15)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
235 °C

Additional information

A measured auto-ignition temperature of 235°C at 1014.0 – 1022.5 hPa was determined for the substance in accordance with EU Method A.15 and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable.
