The hydrolysis study according to EU- or OECD-methods is technically not feasible. The substance is considered to be stable. The results of the water solubility test give some indications that possibly soluble, mainly Li-containing impurities could dissolve in water or that minor parts of the test substance could be transformed to soluble, mainly Li-containing molecules.

A biodegradation study does not need to be conducted if the substance is inorganic. The degree of a possible transformation of the constitutive metals to a soluble species is low, see under hydrolysis.

The adsorption coefficient can not be determined for technical reasons.

- The water solubility of Lithium titanium oxide is too low (<0.25 mg / L at 20 °C), to perform a batch test.

- The test substance is an inorganic compound. There is no method to distinguish between the different species of Li or Ti possibly generated in the aqueous phase or adsorbed on the soil and its parent compound.
