First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult or ceases,
give oxygen or mouth to mouth resuscitation. Keep warm and
at rest. Obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash thoroughly with water and continue for at least 15
minutes. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and launder before reuse,
Thoroughly wash all affected areas with soap and water, seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder
Product arising from burning: The substance would be combustible when subjected to heat or
a flame, evolving toxic fumes of chlorides and oxides of
carbon and nitrogen.

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.
Fight the fire from a safe distance or protected location.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.
Wear an air suit or breathing apparatus and impervious
clothing designed to protect the head and skin, rubber or
plastic gloves and boots conforming to the relevant national
or international standards.
Collect the spillage, preferably by vacuum, and place in a
suitably labelled, sealable container for disposal or
recovery. When as much as possible of the spillage has been
collected, flush the spillage site with copious amounts of
water to an effluent drain. If the spillage was in an
enclosed or partially enclosed area, throughly ventilate and
test the area before allowing reaccess.
Dispose of waste material in accordance with local
regulations by incineration.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used under
conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with
any local regulations in order to avoid exposure by
ingestion, inhalation and skin or eye contact.
When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled
operators involved in the handling of the substance should
wear an air-fed protective suit designed to protect the head
and skin, plastic gloves and rubber boots.
Such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate
international or national standards.
Furthermore, when respiratory protective equipment has to be
used, it must be capable of adequately controlling exposure,
be suitable for the purpose, and conform to the appropriate
international or national standards.
These measures should be regarded as a minimum.
Storage: Store in a dry, well-ventilated area, at or below room
temperature in clearly labelled sealed containers.
Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will be consumed during normal usage. Recovery
methods from minor spillages or accidental discharge are not
available. All waste arising from spillage or accidental
discharge will be incinerated at a licensed site.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: This substance is not associated with any hazardous
physico-chemical effects. There are no established chemical
treatment regimes to neutralise hazardous health or
environmental properties.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: There will be no discharge of the substance during normal
usage.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Any waste will be incinerated in a licensed incinerator in
accordance with local regulations. Stack gases must be
scrubbed.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: There will be no discharge of the substance during normal
usage.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
