First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move to fresh air immediately; seek medical attention if
symptoms persist.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes; seek medical
attention promptly.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. If symptoms persist seek medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Combustion gases will include oxides of carbon. Foam, dry
chemical and carbon dioxide are suitable extinguishing
media. Firefighters should wear breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Absorb spill using suitable material (eg disposable rags,
sawdust, clay etc).Place material in a sealed container and
dispose of at a licensed incineration unit. Clean spill
area with isopropanol or methylethylketone.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid contact with skin. Wear gloves and apron of
chemically resistant materials (eg of polyethylene,
polyurethane). Wear goggles with face shield (eg BS 2092).
Avoid inhalation, use a local exhaust ventilation system.
If necessary an air supplied respirator or a dust half-mask
respirator (eg BS2091 with FC6 filter) may be used.
Storage: No special precautions.
