Key result
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Burning time:
0 s
Remarks on result:
substance does not ignite and propagate combustion either by burning with flame or smouldering along 200 mm of the powder train within the 2 minutes test period
Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
No ignition was observed throughout the course of the test. The test item should be considered as not highly flammable (for EU ) regulations and as non flammable solid (for UN regulations).
Executive summary:

To determine the flammability of the test substance the guidelines of the EU method A10 and the UN Method N.1. were followed.

In the preliminary screening study the test item just melted. No sign of ignition was observed.

There were no deviations from the study plan or the guideline.

The test substance should be considered as not highly flammable ( for EU regulations) Non flammable solid (for UN regulations)

Description of key information

No ignition was observed throughout the course of the test. This solid test item should be considered as not highly flammable (for EU ) regulations and as non flammable solid (for UN regulations).

Additionally, experience in use and handling shows that the substance is stable in contact with air at room temperature for long periods of time and does not react with water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
