Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Skin contact: Wash the skin immediately with soap and water
Eye contact: Rinse the eye with water immediately. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. Contact physician if irritation persists.
Ingestion: Flush mouth with water. Drink plenty of water in case of swallowing. Get medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Fire and explosion hazards: Fire or strong heat may develop iodine vapor, nitrous gases (NOx) and carbon monoxide (CO).
Personal protective equipment: Do not breathe poisonous and corrosive gases. Use suplied-air respirators and tight coat because the combustion gases contain iodine vapor.
Accidental release measures
Environmental precautions: Use appropriate containers to avoid environmental pollution.
Methods for cleaning: Small spill: Sweep, vacuum, or wipe up spill with damp cloth and discard as waste. Clean up with a moist cloth or paper towel. Use plenty of warm water. Wash area with soap and water.
Larger spill: Larger amount is collected in a suitable container which is then properly labelled and send for recovery or treatment according to agreement.
Handling and storage
Storage: Store at moderate temperatures in dry, well ventilated area. Keep containers closed tightly. Protect from light, including direct sun-rays.
Special risks and properties Dry powder can promote static electric during handling.
Other Information: Hygienic work practices: Wash your hands at the end of each work shift, and before eating. Wash promptly if skin becomes contaminated with soap and warm water.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Respiratory protection: Wear air purifying respirators (full face mask with particulate filter) if there is dust formation.
Hand protection: Wear approved protective gloves if risk of skin contact. Wear protective gloves made of neoprene, nitrile or polyethylene.
Eye protection: Wear approved safety glasses.
Skin protection (other than of the hands): Wear approved work clothes.
Stability and reactivity
Materials to avoid: Reactive substances. Strong oxidation agent.
Hazardous decomposition products: Fire or high temperature may causes formation of poisonous gases: Iodine, Nitrous oxides (NOx) and Carbon monoxide (CO).
Stability: Stable under normal and anticipated storage and handling conditions.
Disposal considerations
Packaging classified as hazardous waste: No
Specify the appropriate methods of disposal:Collect in tight containers and mark with substance name, amount and date. Send for recovery, or treatment according to agreement.
