- Executive summary:
The density of the test item was determined in accordance with EU method A3 / CIPAC MT 3.2.1, under GLP conditions, using the Gay-Lussac pycnometer. A clean and dry pycnometer together with stopper and cap was weighed in laboratory scale to the nearest 0.0001 g and then filled with standard water of purity 3 and thermostated to the test temperature (20 ºC). The pycnometer containing the water was dried, cooled and weighed. In order to determine the mass of the tested material, the pycnometer was filled with the material, thermostated and weighed after drying and cooling. Two trials were performed. The average density of the test item was 1.228 g/cm³ at 20ºC; the relative density was 1.228 at 20ºC.
