Additional information

Based on its physico-chemical properties such as low water solubility (< 15 µg/L at 20 °C and pH 6.3), low volatilization potential (vapour pressure < 0.0001 Pa at 20 °C, Mpbpwin 1.43) and a high log Koc (3.58 – 12.45, MCI, KOCWIN v2.00), sediment and soil are expected to be the main compartments for environmental distribution of Reaction product of 1,3,5-Triazine-2,4,6-triamine, polymer with formaldehyde, methylated and C16-18 fatty alcohols.

According to the Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.7b (ECHA, 2017) once poorly soluble chemicals enter a standard sewage treatment plant, these substances are expected to be removed from the water column to a significant degree by adsorption to sewage sludge.
