Genetic toxicity of N-[3 -(dimethylamino)propyl]-12 -hydroxyoctadec-9-enamide has been assessed in vitro.

The the test item has no mutagenic activity in the bacterial reverse mutation test with and without metabolic activation strains under the test conditions used in this study.. This result does not meet criteria for classification acoording to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
