Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient from exposure. Obtain medical attention if
ill effects occur.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately irrigate with eyewash solution or clean water,
holding the eyelids apart, for at least 10 minutes. Obtain
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. After
contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of water.
Obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Obtain immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, dry powder or CO2.
Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon and nitrogen
Protective equipment: A self contained breathing apparatus and full protective
clothing must be worn in fire conditions.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Ensure suitable personal protection during removal of
spillages.
Prevent entry into drains, sewers ot watercourses. Avoid
dust generation. Moisten spillages with water. Transfer to
a container for disposal. Wash the spillage area with wate
r.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid inhalation. The
material can form flammable dust clouds in air. Dust clouds
may be extremely senitive to ignition by electrostatic
discharge and other ignition sources. Ensure good earthing
of equipment and personnel.
Storage: Keep container tightly closed.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Double lined polyethylene bags in a fibre board drum.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery is not possible
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not recommended
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal should be in accordance with local, state or
national legislation
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended. All unreacted product remains in product
mother liquors. These are tankered off and sent off-site
for incineration.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance does not enter the public domain
