Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Hydrolysis (waiver)

Hydrolysis testing is waived based on the inability to determine a solubility limit (which is necessary to perform a hydrolysis test) due to the surface-active properties of the test substance. The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water.

Biodegradation in water: screening tests

The mean percent biodegradation of the test substance reached only 9% after 28 days. The test substance cannot, therefore, be considered readily biodegradable under the strict terms and conditions of OECD Guideline No. 301B.

Adsorption coefficient

The adsorption coefficient of (Log Koc) C12-14-tert-alkylamines, compounds with mono-Me and di-Me phosphates is as follows:

Amine portion:

  pH 5: 3.0 to 4.5

  pH 7: 3.1 to 4.6

  pH 9: 3.1 to 4.6

At each pH the phosphate ester portion was not retained. (Smithers Viscient, 2018).
