From the Sponsor-supplied certificate of analysis, the test item contains 36.9% water and 11.1% methyldiethanolamine (MDEA). The wide endotherm at approximately 40 to 190 °C observed in the loss on heating results was considered to be due to evaporation of water from the bulk test item. Therefore, the wide endotherm at approximately 200 to 340 °C was concluded to be due to boiling of the active components of the test item.

Conclusions:
The boiling point of the test item has been determined to be in the range from approximately 200 to 340°C (473 to 613 K) at 99.0 to 101.6 kPa.

A K1, GLP-compliant study was performed according to a method compatible with OECD guideline 103 and EU Method A.2. The test item has been determined to boil from approximately 200 to 340 °C (473 to 613 K) at 99.0 to 101.6 kPa (K1, Covance, 2019).
