Additional information

Short-term ecotoxicity testing of ADONA has revealed no acute toxicity to aquatic organisms or activated sludge, and long-term ecotoxicity testing has shown no chronic toxicity in invertebrates or algae. ADONA is water-soluble and measured concentrations were shown to be stable and in agreement with nominal concentrations. Results of the aquatic toxicity studies can be found in Tables 1 & 2. Toxicity test results based on the analytically confirmed nominal concentration of the active ingredient showed EC50 values greater than 100 mg/L for Danio rerio (zebrafish, 96-h mortality) and Daphnia magna (water flea, 48-h immobilization), as well as an EC50 >1000 mg/L for Cyprinus carpio (carp, 96-h mortality), Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata (green algae, 96-h growth inhibition), Chironomus riparius (midge, 96-h larval survival) and activated sludge (primarily domestic, 3-h respiration inhibition). All of the studies were performed in accordance with internationally-accepted test guidelines and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. Therefore, the studies are reliable without restrictions and the results suitable for purposes of Risk Assessment, Classification & Labeling, and PBT Analysis. Overall, ADONA is classified as not acutely or chronically toxic in accordance with the classification system of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and Not Classified - conclusive but not sufficient for classification in accordance with the EU classification, labelling and packaging system (CLP).
