Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
GENERAL: If exposed or concerned: Get medical advice/attention.
Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.
IF INHALED: Specific treatment. If inhaled, remove to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing
IF ON SKIN: Specific treatment.
Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.
IF ON SKIN (or hair): Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower.
If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
Gently wash with plenty of soap and water.
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if presentand easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention. Rinse in order to better reach all parts of eyes.
IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
Use powder, foam, carbon dioxide or sand.
Unsuitable extinguishing media
Applying direct water may be dangerous because fire may expand to surroundings.
Accidental release measures
- Personal precautions:
Evacuate area.
- Protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Do not touch or walk through spilled material. Ventilate area after material pick up is complete
- Environmental precautions:
Spilled chemicals and flammable liquids should not be flushed down the drain or gutter or ditch without considering consequences
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: For large spill, dike for later disposal. Absorb or cover with dry earth, sand or other non-combustible material and transfer to containers. Use clean non-sparking tools to collect absorbed material.
Handling and storage
- Precautions for safe handling:
Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area Do not handle until all safety precautions have been read and understood Use personal protective equipment as required Ground/bond container and receiving equipment Obtain special instructions before use
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities: Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool. Keep container tightly closed. The product is stable at normal handling and storage conditions.
Protect from sunlight
Store away from other materials
Keep away from heat
Avoid long storage periods.
