Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Immediately remove to fresh air; consult a physician afterwards. Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with gently running water for 15 minutes maintaining eyelids open. Consult an ophthalmologist or a physician. Emergency measure - Skin: Rinse skin immediately with copious amounts of water. Immediately remove contaminated clothing. Consult a physician. Emergency measure - Ingestion: If swallowed, wash mouth with plenty of water. Take patient to physician/factory medical centre or call an ambulance.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: All. Product arising from burning: Carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur
dioxide. Protective equipment: Fire-fighters should wear protective clothing including self
contained breathing apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Sweep up spilled material; try to minimise formation of dust; material must not be released into sewers, drains or wells.

Handling and storage

During the entire technical process, the substance will be handled in a closed system to minimize the substance emission and thus human exposure. Following the specific work place risk assessment, adequate technical engineering system will be implemented and proper PPE will be applied to the highly trained operators who are the only personnel involved in the entire technical process. Special procedures for cleaning and maintenance work will be established. In cases of accident and where waste is generated, procedural and/or control technologies are in place to minimize emissions and resulting exposure. Storage condition: Keep container tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Avoid heat and sunlight.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Industrial Hygiene The personal protective measure may be adapted appropriately when working in closed systems or under laboratory conditions. Regular cleaning of equipment, work area and clothing. Open handling at operator intervention points with local exhaust ventilation (e.g. downflow booths). Internal working procedures available to personnel covering personal hygiene, standard cleaning, waste disposal and maintenance. Personnel instructed and trained, regular refresher training established. Double wardrobe must be available.

Open Handling
Respiration : Disposable fine dust protection mask (EN149) or reusable halfmask (EN140) with filter: P3 (EN143)
Eye : Safety glasses (EN166)
Hand : Normal length chemical-mechanical resistant gloves (EN374/EN388)
Glove Material : Nitrile
Breakthrough time: 240 min
Thickness: 0.4 mm
Additional protection : working clothes (EN 340)

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Dust explosion is possible. May deflagrate.

Chemical reaction with water: None.

Dust explosion: Dust explosion: External test gave positive results, as is
to be expected for organic powders.

Dust explosion determined by test: Y

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: T15-AE is consumed in the intermediate reaction in which it
is employed; significant residual levels in reactor
effluents are not expected. No practical method of
recovery/recycling is known.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: National requirements must be observed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: Not recommended.
