Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The hydrolysis study has been waivered because the test substance is highly insoluble in water and therefore the study is technically unfeasible.

A reliable and valid study (Klimisch 1) was performed to assess the adsorption coefficient of the test substance according to the OECD guideline 121 (Partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method). At neutral pH, at 35˚C the Koc was determined to be 37,000 and the log Koc was 4.57.

A reliable study (Klimisch 1) assessed ready biodegradability using a standard method in compliance with OECD guideline 301B, according to GLP. After 28 days a maximum of 2% degradation was observed, therefore, the test substance should be considered as not readily biodegradable.

However, it should be noted that this study was run at a concentration of 13.5mg/L, based on molecular formula and is considered to be greatly over the limit of solubility (0.0736mg/L). Due to this, it is unlikely that the test substance would have been bioavailable for biodegradation by the microbes.
