Description of key information

The water solubility was assessed according to EU Method A6 and OECD Test Guideline 105. The water solubility was less than or equal to 3.52E-04 g/L of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
0 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The water solubility was assessed according to Method A6 Water Solubility of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 105 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995 using the flask method.

On completion of the equilibration period, the samples were clear and colorless with excess test item present at the base of the solutions. After centrifugation and filtration, the supernatants were taken for analysis. The supernatants were visually free from undissolved test item.

It is evident from the information obtained in the hydrolysis assessment and data relating to the pH of the test item in water that negligible hydrolysis of the sample solution would have occurred during the course of the water solubility test.

As the samples results were somewhat variable and no particular trend was evident, the water solubility has been reported as less than or equal to the highest determined concentration during the test. The water solubility was therefore less than or equal to 3.52E-04g/L of solution at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C.
