Endpoint:
relative density
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
test procedure in accordance with generally accepted scientific standards and described in sufficient detail
Qualifier:
according to
Guideline:
other: Internal method VLN067
Type of method:
other: mass to volume ratio measurements
Dynamic viscosity of test material:
A sample of the test substance was liquified by heating to 70 °C and filled up in a graduated cylinder to the mark and the added mass weighed. The density of the liquid was obtained by dividing the gain in weight in respect of the known volume up to the mark. The test was done at constant temperature, at 20 °C. The volume of the graduated cylinder was calibrated with distilled water or certified by the manufacturer.

Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the density of the test substance was assessed to be1.080 g/cm3.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the density of the test substance according to internal manufacturer method. The measurements were conducted at constant temperature, at 20 °C. Under the study conditions, the density of the test substance was assessed to be 1.080 g/cm3 (Sohar, 2017).

Description of key information

The density was determined according to internal manufacturer method (Sohar, 2017).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
