Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

In the CLP regulation the identification of acute (short-term) and long-term hazards is based on the aquatic toxicity of the substance, although this shall be modified by taking account of further information on the degradation and bioaccumulation behaviour, if appropriate.

The substance does not meet the criteria for classification under the CLP regulations for hazardous to the environment based on acute fish, daphnia and algal studies, which gave EC/LC50 values of 31.58 mg/L in fish, 11.4 mg/L in Daphnia and 14.5 mg/L in algae. The substance does not meet the classification criteria for Chronic Category 3 or 4 because it is readily biodegradable and has a log Kow of ≤ 4 (log Kow = 3.5).
