Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Content: 95.5%
Physical condition: white powder
Expiration date: 2017-12-04
Storage: Room temperature
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
other: not readily combustible
Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
Vulkacit P Extra N is not a readily combustible substance.
Executive summary:

The test was performed as stipulated in UN-MTC procedure Test N.1 'Test method for readily combustible solids') and in EC A.10, Guideline EC 440/2008.

A preliminary screening test was performed to determine if propagation by burning with flame or smoldering occurs without wetted zone. The substance was formed into a powder train about 250 mm long by about 20 mm wide by about 10 mm high on a non-combustible, nonporous and low heat-conducting base plate. If propagation over 200 mm of the train occurs within a specified time then the full test program to determine the burning rate is carried out.

The test item Vulkacit P Extra N melted on approach of the burner flame. The test item burned for about 1 s after removal of the burner flame and extinguished than. There was no burning up of the powder

train. The performance of the full test was not necessary.

Vulkacit P Extra N is not a readily combustible substance.
