Measurement terminated, because the flash point visual visible, but the detector did not react.

Therefore the detector was cleaned and proved with Dodecan, the reference standard. Then the measurement was repeated.

Evaluation and Result

The flash point is given as the mean value of the duplicate determination. The measured flash point is therefore 139.5°C (corresponding to 412.7 K) at 101325 Pa.

Discussion

No difference between the two values was measured therefore the validity criteria of ≤ 2°C is met. For this reason, the determination was considered valid.
